I have been working in the museum field for more than 25 years. I am committed to the team process, and I understand that an institution’s success depends not just on the strength of its mission and vision, but also on the alignment of stakeholder goals and expectations, and the efficient and effective use of its resources. I am a tried and true tester of assumptions and evaluator of options.

I am passionate about museum exhibits. My approach to exhibitions is focused on the effective layering of experience and messages. I don’t expect every visitor to get every message, or spend time with every exhibit. I think a rich mix of personal and social, passive and participatory, intellectual and emotional experiences can create a museum visit that is entertaining, inspiring and memorable. Exhibits have a remarkable capacity to encourage visitors’ innate curiosity while providing meaningful context and expert perspectives, and it takes good design to pull visitors across the threshold, engage them, and send them home satisfied.
