Working at a science museum has given me many opportunities to explore my passions and better understand how I want to shape my professional career. I learned my place in the movement toward liberation and a just society lies within education. At the Museum of Life and Science I moved into two full time positions, Education Specialist for Underserved Audiences and Associate Program Manager for School Programs, and my responsibilities expanded from

facilitating Pre-K through 8 th Grade programming to developing curriculum and training facilitators. This helped me sharpen my focus on creating content that was informed by my anti-racist ethic and create learning environments that validate and affirm the intersectional identities of young learners. I take the opportunity to work with young learners very seriously because it is my dream to create empowered citizens who are informed and engaged within

their community.
