Before being laid off as a result of COVID-19 staff reductions, I was the Facilities and Security Manager for Colgate University’s Picker Art Gallery and the Longyear Anthropological Museum. I was responsible for all facets of facilities and security management for the two museums. I served on the University’s Emergency Management Team and was responsible for vulnerability assessments and emergency planning for the museums. I developed and implemented the standards for security staff to achieve a high level of security as well as customer satisfaction.
Prior to coming to Colgate I was the day Safety and Security manager for the art museums at Harvard University. I oversaw the installation, testing and maintenance of all the CCTV and various burglar and fire and life safety equipment related to the safety and security. I interviewed hired and trained 26 security attendants needed for the reopening of the new museum. In order to provide a high focus on customer satisfaction and professionalism I modeled our on-boarding process and customer service plan after Disney and the Ritz Carlton.
Educationally, I have a BS in Criminal Justice, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Security and a Master certificate in Computer Forensics.
