Sophie Strachan is an artist and designer, with a background in Exhibition Planning and Design. Strachan received her Bachelor of Fine Art from Moore College of Art & Design, and her Master of Art in Exhibition Planning + Design from University of the Arts. Her background covers many skills including visitor research and exhibition evaluation, project management, and graphic and spatial design, illustration, hand embroidery, book and manuscript conservation, and much more!

Recently, Strachan took the opportunity of having spare time to explore the financial side of non-profit with an online grant writing class. She plans to continue her studies in grant writing to pursue more opportunities within that discipline. She is currently seeking freelance, and part-time opportunities, but is open to the right full-time position.

Her previous full time position at Arader Art Gallery was cut due to COVID-19. In this position, she acted as the gallery assistant and designer. Strachan used Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to create catalogs of artworks for distribution to patrons of the gallery. She helped with art handling, and hanging. She assisted with cataloguing artworks within the database and online shop, among various other responsibilities.
