I am a recent graduate from the University of the Arts Masters of Museum Studies program with a passion for amplifying diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in the museum field. My master's thesis focuses on how art museums can incorporate languages other than English to forge genuine, mutually beneficial relationships with their local, heritage-language speaking communities. Addition experience includes an internship in the Marketing Experience department of the Baltimore Museum of Art as part of the Von Hess Fellowship. Can be counted as an active listener with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
Previously, I worked for five years in the field of English as a Second Language, first in the United States as the Academic Assistant at EC Boston, and an instructor at ELS Philadelphia, both schools for adult, multinational English language learners. I then spent three years working as a Language and Cultural Assistant in Madrid, where I taught English in public schools to students ages 12-18. During my first year teaching in Madrid, I was nominated by my school as the "Best First Year Language Assistant" in the city-wide program.
