Currently I am working to set up a Scottish branch of Museum Space Invaders, a feminist group, and I am a volunteer on the National Trust for Scotland's taskforce 'Facing Our Past' which looks to 'decolonise' the collections. I am also a volunteer on the Ghost Signs of Glasgow project editing text ahead of an exhibition launch in February 2021.
Prior to COVID-19 restrictions I was working at the Tenement House, Glasgow, as a collections assistant. Part of my role was the reinterpretation of the collection to make it more accessible to the public through a series of daily talks and tours. I also led on exhibition planning, and curated two exhhibitions, A Letter From the Past & Going Doon th' Watter.
I graduated from the University of York in 2018 with an MA in Eighteenth Century Studies. During this degree I undertook an internship at Nostell Priory undertaking research and planning for a digital exhibition as part of their exhibition 'Interior Worlds.'
I also took a Public History module with the Yorkshire Museum & Yorkshire Philosophical Society to create a public exhibition about women's roles in the early years of the society. My paper 'Opinion: the hidden women of the Yorkshire Philosophical Society (1822-1850) - developing a public understanding of women’s history' was published in 2020.
