Michelle's museum / exhibits portfolio consists of projects for history museums, visitor centers, nature centers, historic house museums, corporations, traveling shows, etc. She has worked on projects of varying size and scope, from the permanent exhibits (18,000 s.f.) at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, to an outdoor exhibit with meteorological interactives for a museum in North Carolina. She has worked on turn-key projects for museums, and also collaborated on projects with museum staff, boards, stakeholders, architects, filmmakers, fabricators, A/V designers, etc. She specializes in developing and layering in physical and digital interactives where it makes sense in the overall storyline.
Michelle enjoys developing exhibits with museum staff from the early stages, so she can advise on opportunities within the story to make the most impact in the space available. She runs a full service firm, creating planning documents, renderings, fabrication / construction drawings, and graphics in house, and helping clients with the fabricator bidding process. Michelle has a large network of exhibit design professionals, including writers, filmmakers, coders and touchscreen game producers, scenic artists, carpenters, to help make each story come to life.
