My research at the undergraduate and graduate level focused on U.S. history from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. I developed a particular passion for the study of the visual arts, venturing out to museums in my spare time to come face to face with works I had studied for hours. Herein, I discovered the power of objects and the didactic role they play in a museum visitor’s experience. As a curatorial intern and avid museum-goer, I find myself most comfortable in a gallery space, interpreting these objects and immersing myself in their materiality.
