In my most recent role, I was Shedd Aquarium's Manager of Interpretive Volunteers. I oversaw the recruitment, training and supervision of 200 guest-facing volunteers. Throughout my 20+ year aquarium career, I developed more than 100 programs and facilitated countless interpretive opportunities from live animal encounters to guided tours for the aquarium's 1.8 million annual guests.
I am an active member of the National Association for Interpretation and have Certified Interpretive Guide Training. I currently am part of the Zoos, Wildlife Parks and Aquariums Member Community's leadership group and have presented at the Association's annual conference on volunteerism and technology in programs.
