I would be a great asset to any collections team because of my years of registration and collections management experience. As a self-described Jack-of-all-trades, I have experience handling various types of museums objects, including photographs, paintings, ceramics, archaeological material, costumes and textiles. My resume demonstrates my proficiency in numerous collections management systems, including Past Perfect, The Museum System (TMS), and Ke EMu. I am also an eager learner and acquire new skills quickly.
During my time at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum I cataloged and photographed 100+ objects using a DSLR camera. At the Newark Museum I safely handled and rehoused 200+ Korean textiles, costumes, and paper collections. I assisted with an inventory and data clean-up project of 3,000+ ethnographic objects at the New Jersey State Museum; created custom phase boxes for damaged ship manuals at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum; photographed objects for the Seton Hall University Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology and prepared potential acquisition proposals bi-monthly for the Museum Collections Committee at the State Historical Society of North Dakota. These invaluable experiences taught me time management skills, how to safely handle different types of objects, and how to take museum quality photographs.
Please reach out if you are seeking an eager learner with an attention for detail.
