As the former head of new media exhibit development at the Exploratorium, I oversaw the new media exhibit development process for both our museum and partner institutions worldwide. I developed experiences that engaged visitors with the natural world and encouraged them to observe and make sense of that world. I believe in using the tools of my trade, exhibitions and exhibits, to tell compelling stories about natural phenomena, and also, I believe in using them to give visitors the ingredients to make their own stories. These stories are personalized, dear, and relatable, and thus can focus learning, connection, and commitment.
