As the director of communications at UNC-Chapel Hill's Ackland Art Museum, I spent eight years writing and editing all content on the museum's website, as well as press releases, social media posts, and marketing materials. My greatest love was copy editing the museum's publications, newsletters, wall texts, and gallery guides.
I am now a freelance editor specializing in art history books, dissertations, and articles. I provide a wide range of services, from proofreading to line editing. The topics of my most recent editing projects include contemporary women potters in South Africa, Russian painter Ivan Puni, contemporary performance art by Indigenous artists, and the lives of Bay Area artists Margaret, Helen, and Esther Bruton.
I also edit marketing materials for businesses and personal statements for individuals.
