My professional experiences allow me to cultivate exceptional levels of organization, flexibility, and creativity. Through my work as curator and historian at the Virginia Museum of Transportation, I was able to share my passion and commitment for accurately conveying transportation history through exhibits, oral history, social media, and the maintenance of the artifact collection. I developed the collections policies and procedures and was working toward developing a disaster plan for the museum. I also trained student interns in the management of exhibits and collections. I was even sought out by Roanoke College to teach public history for a semester when their public historian suddenly departed for another position.

Prior to moving to Roanoke, I was employed with a competitive therapeutic boarding school, and I excelled as a member of the Student Life department, achieving accolades and promotion during my tenure. I was previously recruited back to another company as a manager based on my past job performance with the organization as an entry-level employee. This dedication resulted in an unsolicited offer of employment nearly four years after I had left the organization. These recommendations illustrate that I am a dedicated team player who gives her top effort in any situation, am capable of building and maintaining professional relationships, and am a vital member of any organization’s staff. I thrive at and enjoy responding to challenging environments.

As an historian with Moreland Altobelli Associates, Inc., I was considered an asset to the company. When I relocated to Virginia, MAAI allowed me to continue working for them remotely. This reliance on my devotion indicates both my dedication to my assignments as well as my ability to work independently. My proven commitment also allowed me to be recruited as a contract historian by GT Hill Planners, Inc., with whom I conducted freelance Section 106 review history writing and reporting.

I feel that these qualifications have made me an invaluable asset to former employers, and I know that I would be an exceptional addition to your staff. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
