A community for museum professionals.

The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) is a proud partner of MuseumExpert.org. While thousands of passionate and brilliant museum professionals have been separated from their institutions during the pandemic, they are integral to the recovery of our field and our country. The Alliance aims to partner with the MuseumExpert.org team to bring greater visibility to this critical resource to those who need it most, expand additional partnership opportunities to reach more prospective employers, and to continue to strategize with the MuseumExpert.org team on how this innovative resource can serve to further equity in our field.
About AAM

The American Alliance of Museums’ mission is to champion museums and nurture excellence in partnership with our members and allies.

From art museums to science centers, arboretums to zoos, members of the diverse museum community share something in common—strong support, standards of excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional networks provided by the American Alliance of Museums.

Since 1906 the Alliance has been a leader in developing best practices and advocating for museums, as well as providing a host of opportunities to museum staff and volunteers. More than 35,000 individual museum professionals and volunteers, institutions, and corporate partners benefit from the work of the Alliance.
The Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) is proud to partner with MuseumExpert.org. The children’s museum workforce, full of talented individuals with deep knowledge and expertise, has been hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a new platform linking museum professionals with employment opportunities, MuseumExpert.org is a key connecter in helping the museum field rebuild with equity in mind.

The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) is a proud partner of MuseumExpert.org. The zoo and aquarium community has worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to provide their animals with the highest standard of animal care, engage virtually with their guests, maintain their facilities, and more. Unfortunately, many of the staff at our accredited facilities have been impacted as a result of the extended closure periods our members have experienced. AZA joins MuseumExpert.org in supporting those who have lost their jobs in the museum, informal learning, zoo, aquarium, and cultural sector during the pandemic by connecting professionals with employment and development opportunities.
About AZA
Founded in 1924, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of zoos and aquariums in the areas of conservation, animal welfare, education, science, and recreation. AZA is the accrediting body for the top zoos and aquariums in the United States and 12 other countries. Look for the AZA accreditation logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting a facility dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things. The AZA is a leader in saving species and your link to helping animals all over the world. To learn more, visit www.aza.org.
